The Watkins-Montour Rotary Club is once again offering its annual community blood screening, set for Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Clute Park Community Center in Watkins Glen.
The event runs from 6 to 10 a.m. and includes a comprehensive blood analysis performed by Quest Diagnostics, covering key indicators for heart, kidney, and liver disease, as well as anemia. The cost is $59, which includes a $15 specimen collection fee.
Rotarians will also ask for a $5 donation at the event to help fund local service projects throughout Schuyler County.
Appointments are required and can be made by calling (800) 234-8888, Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. A physician’s name and address are required when registering, and participants must bring photo ID to check in.
Optional add-on tests — including PSA, TSH, Vitamin D, Hemoglobin A1C, and a colon rectal kit — are available for an extra fee with a doctor’s order. For more details, call the same number listed above.
