Residents in and around Cato will have a safe and convenient way to dispose of unused medications later this month.
On Saturday, October 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Terry’s Food Mart (11314 South St., Cato) will host a prescription drug drop-off event for the community.
The collection event allows people to safely dispose of:
- Prescription medications
- Prescription patches and ointments
- Over-the-counter medications
- Pet medications
- Vitamins
- Medication samples
There is no cost to drop off unwanted medications. Organizers emphasize that safe disposal helps prevent misuse and keeps harmful substances out of the environment.
