Mary Challman is taking the helm at the Sodus Bay Lighthouse Museum, bringing years of museum leadership experience, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Challman, formerly with Genesee Country Village, will lead daily operations, boost education programs, and expand community ties. She’ll also focus on fundraising, preserving local history, and enhancing exhibits on topics like maritime heritage, the Underground Railroad, and Indigenous culture.
The museum, housed in the historic 1871 lighthouse, plans to grow its reach and impact under Challman’s leadership.
