Lyons man arrested after campfire trespass

Deputies arrested a man Friday afternoon after he was found trespassing and starting a campfire on town property in Lyons.

The suspect, identified as 41-year-old David R. Jones Jr. of Phelps Street, had previously been told to stay off the property.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on October 1 on Clyde Road. When deputies arrived, Jones refused to cooperate and interfered with the arrest.

He was charged with trespass and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Jones is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date.
