Running to Places brings Annie Jr. to the Hangar Theatre — for free

The scrappy, red-headed orphan is back — and this time, she’s singing for free.

Running to Places Theatre Company will present a family-friendly production of Annie Jr. this October at the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca. The best part? Every ticket is completely free.

Show dates and times:

  • Oct. 11 & 12 and Oct. 18 & 19
  • Saturdays & Sundays at 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
  • Run time: 90 minutes (including intermission)

Tickets are required and available at runningtoplaces.org. Guests can choose from free ticket options or those with built-in donations to support the nonprofit’s mission.

“This is only possible thanks to community support,” organizers said. “Donations help us provide equitable access to the arts for everyone.”

Bonus: Photo booth and podcast fun

Jyl’s Photo Booth will be on-site for all performances, giving fans a chance to grab a fun photo with the cast after the show — also free of charge.

Annie Jr. follows the classic story of a spunky orphan who sets off to find the family she’s always dreamed of, winning over the gruff billionaire Oliver Warbucks along the way. Expect hit songs like “Tomorrow” and “Hard Knock Life.”
