A Broome County man is facing murder charges after allegedly using his vehicle to kill another man during a dispute on Wednesday afternoon.
New York State Police arrested 36-year-old Nathanael J. Manwaring of Maine, NY, after an investigation revealed he intentionally struck 41-year-old Rodney L. Clark with a pickup truck in a driveway on Lamb Road in the Town of Nanticoke.
Victim later died at hospital
Troopers from the Binghamton and Endwell barracks responded to the call just after 3:30 p.m. on September 24. Investigators say the incident followed a dispute between the two men.
Clark, a Binghamton resident, was taken to Wilson Hospital by private vehicle but died from his injuries shortly after arriving.
Manwaring is charged with second-degree murder, a class A felony, and first-degree manslaughter, a class B felony. He was processed at SP Binghamton and sent to the Broome County Correctional Facility for centralized arraignment.
State Police investigators from the Major Crimes Unit, Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and Forensic Identification Unit responded to both the scene on Lamb Road and Wilson Hospital.
The Broome County Sheriff’s Office and Village of Johnson City Police also assisted in the investigation.
