Livingston County is recognizing the work of its Human Resources staff today as part of the national celebration of Human Resources Professionals Day.
The County’s HR department supports more than 1,300 employees across 40 departments — in addition to working with towns, villages, school districts, and Genesee Valley BOCES on recruitment and staffing needs.
Acting County Administrator Shannon Hillier praised the HR team’s behind-the-scenes role in keeping county services running smoothly.
“Our incredible HR professionals ensure that County employees are supported, prepared, and best able to provide essential services for our community,” she said. “Their work is essential in helping us build a culture of professionalism and service excellence.”
From managing benefits and retirement to onboarding and employee policies, the HR team plays a key role in employee well-being and development.
