Senior Ruth Hotaling fueled the William Smith attack with a goal and an assist, while junior Charlotte Brown also scored. Junior goalkeeper Antonia Goerke finished with three saves over 90 minutes.

RIT (5-0-3, 2-0-0) seized control with three goals in a 10-minute stretch spanning halftime. Bella Coccio tied the game in the 42nd minute, and Elena Onodera struck twice early in the second half — first on a looping shot in the 47th minute and then on a penalty kick in the 51st.

Brown had opened the scoring in the eighth minute, converting a pass from Addison Stockwin, with Hotaling also assisting. Hotaling cut the deficit to one in the 68th minute off feeds from Kelsey Otridge and Nell Dwyer, but the Herons’ late pressure, including a shot off the crossbar from Julia Accioly, came up short.

William Smith held a 5-1 edge in corner kicks but matched RIT with six shots on goal.
