Hobart and William Smith Colleges just launched their most prestigious award yet — the Melly Scholarship — offering $46,000 per year to future changemakers, according to HWS News.
Funded by a historic $70 million gift from Tom and Judy Melly, the award will go to 15–20 top incoming students annually. It includes leadership training, global travel, alumni mentorship, and a full tech package — all aimed at students passionate about business, AI, economics, and more.
Applicants must show initiative, service, and global thinking — plus submit a personal essay. Preference goes to Early Decision and Early Action applicants. Finalists will be invited to interview for the spot.
