Troopers returned to a home in Ontario after a welfare check and found a mother so intoxicated she couldn’t stand, according to the State Police.
Jaymi R. Seitz, 34, was arrested Monday morning after officers say she was falling over drunk while responsible for a child.
It started when Seitz’s boyfriend called for a welfare check at the Ridge Road home. Troopers initially found no issues.
But later, Wayne County Child Protective Services showed up and found Seitz heavily intoxicated and unable to care for herself or the child.
State Police returned and charged her with endangering the welfare of a child.
Seitz was taken to the Wayne County Jail and arraigned in CAP Court. She was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Ontario Town Court on October 14.
The child was turned over to a family member.
