Deputies charged a man early Sunday after a traffic stop in Farmington uncovered signs of intoxication and suspected drugs.

Jack S. Wallwork, 30, of Rochester, was pulled over around 1:40 a.m. near the intersection of State Route 332 and Canandaigua Farmington Town Line Road, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said Wallwork showed signs of impairment during a series of field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. While searching him, they found five pills that were not in a prescription bottle. The pills were later identified as a Schedule II controlled substance.

Wallwork was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He also received tickets for driving while intoxicated, leaving his lane unsafely, and speeding.

He was released with an appearance ticket and is expected to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
