A car went up in flames Friday after a single-vehicle crash in Gorham closed part of Middle Road.
Deputies said Aaron Hand, 38, of Rushville, was the only person in the vehicle when it crashed and caught fire. He was not injured.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene along with Rushville and Crystal Beach fire departments. The crash brought down utility lines, forcing NYSEG crews to shut down the road while repairs were made.
Officials did not release further details about the cause of the crash.
