A rollover crash involving a tractor and trailer killed a Lodi man Friday evening in Burdett, according to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office.
Chris Snyder, 40, died after being flown to Robert Packer Hospital with serious injuries.
Deputies say Snyder was towing an overweight trailer on Route 227 around 6:40 p.m. when the tractor lost control rounding a curve and flipped. New York State Police, Burdett Fire & Rescue, and Centralus Health Ambulance assisted at the scene.
According to his obituary, Snyder was a “cherished husband, father, and friend,” survived by his wife and four children. He loved John Deere tractors, kept a hobby farm, and showed horses at local events with his kids.
A celebration of life is planned for noon to 4 p.m. on Oct. 4 at 5093 NY-227 in Burdett.
