Deputies arrested a woman in Sodus after investigating a domestic incident involving a child assault and multiple endangerment charges.
Catherine M. Chido, 35, was taken into custody on Sept. 15 after deputies responded to a home on State Route 14. Investigators say Chido assaulted a child under 17 and obstructed the child’s breathing by putting pressure on their throat — all while two other children were present.
Chido was charged with third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
She was transported to the Wayne County Jail and held pending arraignment in CAP Court.
