A Lyons man was arrested after allegedly trying to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex, following a law enforcement investigation into online communications.
Christopher M. Ford, 32, was taken into custody on Sept. 15 after investigators say he used a messaging app to send sexually explicit messages to someone he believed was a teenage girl. He then arranged to meet her at Aqueduct Park in Palmyra.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Ford is a registered level 2 sex offender. The arrest was made with help from the Palmyra Police Department.
Ford was charged with first-degree dissemination of indecent material to minors and held at the Wayne County Jail pending arraignment in CAP Court that evening.
