Parents and caregivers in Yates County can get their child car seats inspected for free later this month.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Car Seat Check Event on Saturday, September 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 89 Main Street in Dresden, during the Dresden Fire Department’s Touch-a-Truck event.
Certified technicians will be on-site to inspect, adjust, or replace car seats as needed. No appointment is required, and the service is part of the Child Passenger Safety Seat Program in partnership with the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.
