ABC suspends Jimmy Kimmel after Kirk remarks

Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show has been pulled indefinitely after he made controversial jokes about Charlie Kirk’s killing, according to WSYR.

ABC acted after Nexstar said its affiliates would stop airing the show, calling Kimmel’s comments “offensive and insensitive.” Critics, including a Federal Communications Commissioner, praised the move. Kimmel had mocked conservative responses to Kirk’s death and accused Trump of politicizing the tragedy.

The show’s future is uncertain, with Kimmel’s contract set to expire in May 2026.
