A Webster man is facing felony charges after a fatal crash involving a motorcycle on State Route 104 in Sodus.
New York State Police say Robert C. Meyers, 41, was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado pickup westbound around 7:40 p.m. on September 12 when he struck the back of a motorcycle that had slowed to make a left turn into a residential area.
The 25-year-old motorcyclist was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
Following a DWI investigation, troopers determined Meyers was impaired. He was charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter — a felony — as well as two misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated, including operating with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher.
The investigation is ongoing, according to State Police.
