ESL Federal Credit Union has tapped Alma Torres to lead its newest branch in Rochester’s Bull’s Head neighborhood, the company announced Monday.
Torres will serve as Branch Manager for the new location — the 25th ESL branch in the Greater Rochester area and the fifth within the city limits. She’ll oversee day-to-day operations, customer service, lending, deposits, and team development.
Torres began her career with ESL in 2017 and steadily climbed the ranks, serving as a Teller, Senior Teller, Bilingual Relationship Banker, and Assistant Branch Manager. Most recently, she held the role of Senior Assistant Branch Manager before her promotion.
Outside of work, she has volunteered with several local organizations including Mission Share, Homesteads for Hope, and Volunteers of America.
ESL’s continued expansion in the city reflects its investment in community banking and accessible financial services. The credit union currently serves over 438,000 members and 17,200 businesses across the region and manages more than $9.4 billion in assets.
