A tractor rollover on Friday evening in Schuyler County ended in tragedy after the operator was ejected and later died from his injuries.
It happened around 6:40 p.m. on September 12 along State Route 227 in Burdett, according to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the tractor was pulling an overweight trailer when the operator lost control while rounding a curve. The tractor rolled over, ejecting the driver.
He was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital, where he later died. His name has not been released, pending family notification.
New York State Police, Burdett Fire & Rescue, and Centralus Health Ambulance assisted at the scene.
