President Donald Trump marked the 24th anniversary of 9/11 by attending Thursday’s Yankees game in the Bronx, where he was both cheered and booed, according to the Associated Press.
Trump watched from a suite with Yankees execs and greeted players before the game. Security was tight following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk the day before. The crowd reacted with a mix of boos and applause when Trump appeared on the jumbotron during the national anthem and again during the second inning.
It was his eighth major sports appearance since returning to office in January.
