Cornell University Library’s new exhibit, Plant-Based, opens Sept. 18 and celebrates the power of plants across cultures, according to the Cornell Chronicle.
The show features rare artifacts—from ancient Egyptian papyrus to Ming Dynasty paper and modern botanical art—pulled from the library’s vast collections. It also includes plant specimens from Cornell’s herbaria and insect collections.
The opening event includes a talk by horticulture expert Emily Detrick, who’ll highlight how art, gardens, and historical texts deepen our connection to nature. The exhibit runs through August 2026.
