Penn Yan Police cited a Canandaigua man after a traffic stop revealed his vehicle registration had been suspended due to an insurance lapse.
Officers pulled over 22-year-old Richard J. Dimon on Liberty Street just after midnight on Aug. 24.
A registration check showed the vehicle’s registration was suspended, leading to Dimon being charged with operating while registration suspended or revoked.
He was released at the scene with a traffic ticket and is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
