Two Cornell students sparked outrage after skinning a black bear in a campus residence hall, according to The Ithaca Voice.
The students, who held valid hunting licenses, reportedly killed the bear and processed its meat inside Ganędagǫ Hall over the weekend. A photo showed the skinned carcass on a kitchen table; another showed raw meat stored in a dorm fridge.
Cornell police filed a report, but no charges have been filed. The incident may violate hunting season laws, as bear season hadn’t yet begun in the region.
