Music for Mom benefit returns to Phelps next weekend

The streets of Phelps will come alive with music, art, and community for a cause as Music for Mom returns for its 8th year on September 12 and 13.

Hosted by The Endless Mountain Derelicts and Crafty Ales & Lagers, the two-day festival raises money for the Music Therapy Program at Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Block party for a cause

Each year, Exchange Street shuts down and transforms into a block party with 13 live bands, food trucks, local artists, raffles, and a 50/50 drawing. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged — with every dollar supporting music therapy for children and families in need.

“Music for Mom is about the healing power of music,” said a member of The Endless Mountain Derelicts. “Every dollar raised goes directly to the Music Therapy Program at Golisano Children’s Hospital.”
