Dr. Martin Stallone, head of Centralus Health, will leave his post Nov. 7 for a new executive role with Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, according to The Ithaca Voice.
Stallone, who oversaw the merger of Cayuga and Arnot Health to form Centralus earlier this year, called the move bittersweet but necessary to drive broader rural healthcare strategy. He’s led the system since 2019 and spearheaded major expansions across the region.
Rob Lawlis, a longtime Cayuga Health executive, will take over as CEO under what officials say was a planned succession.
