A coyote bit someone Monday evening near Cornell’s Upper Cascadilla Gorge Trail, prompting alerts from Ithaca and Cornell police, according to 14850.com.
The animal had already been spotted several times since Sunday in Collegetown, including near Stewart Avenue and Eddy Street. Police found it but said it didn’t act aggressively.
Cornell Police say the bite victim was walking near Kimball Hall. They’re urging people not to approach the animal and to report sightings. If the coyote appears healthy, rabies treatment may not be needed.
