Congresswoman Claudia Tenney is taking aim at rising energy costs with a new plan she says will lower bills, expand domestic energy, and protect Upstate New York’s environment.
Tenney released her 2025 Energy and Environment Plan on Wednesday, highlighting a mix of economic and environmental priorities for NY-24 and beyond.
“As energy costs continue to soar under Albany’s reckless policies, New Yorkers deserve solutions that deliver affordable, reliable energy while protecting our environment and creating jobs,” Tenney said.
Her plan builds on her previously introduced “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” aimed at scaling back what she calls harmful federal regulations and boosting American energy independence.
The new framework pushes for:
- Expanded domestic energy production
- Investments in clean, reliable sources like nuclear and hydropower
- Stronger conservation efforts to protect resources such as the Great Lakes and Finger Lakes
Tenney says her plan proves energy affordability and environmental stewardship don’t have to be at odds.
“We can and must achieve both,” she said.
