Ventosa Vineyards marks 20 years with music, BBQ, and a cause

Crowds are expected to pack Geneva’s Ventosa Vineyards on Friday, September 26 as the winery celebrates its 20th anniversary with its annual Frank Cecere Memorial Fiesta.

The evening event will run from 5 to 9 p.m. and includes live music, a silent auction, raffle prizes, and a full barbecue dinner—all in support of local Catholic education.

Music, food, and lawn chairs welcome

The celebration kicks off on the South lawn, where The Other Side of Normal will play from 5 to 7 p.m. under the pavilion. Guests are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and yard games to enjoy the outdoor party vibe.

Dinner will be served between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., prepared by Ventosa’s executive chef. Guests can choose chicken or crab cakes, served with street corn, mac & cheese, baked beans, and focaccia.

As the sun sets, the party heads indoors. Rock band Night Train will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. in the banquet room, with raffle winners announced throughout the night.

A $20 donation for local students

Tickets are available for a $20 donation and can be purchased at VentosaVineyards.com, by calling (315) 719-0000, or in person at the winery. All proceeds go to St. Francis/St. Stephen’s School to help subsidize tuition for families in need.

The event is held in memory of Frank Cecere and benefits the foundation named after him. The Frank Cecere Memorial Foundation was established in 1999 to support local students through tuition assistance. Since then, the annual fiesta and a golf tournament have raised over $250,000 for the school.
