A 19-year-old from Moravia is home and healing after a serious motorcycle accident last week in Venice, according to The Citizen. Ayden Makala lost control of his 2024 Kawasaki on Poplar Ridge Road on August 13 and was thrown from the bike near Indian Field Road.
Emergency crews from multiple towns responded, and Makala was flown by LifeNet helicopter to Upstate Medical in Syracuse. His mother later said he had a medical episode before the crash.
Makala’s family thanked first responders and the Good Samaritan who called 911 for their fast help.
