A spaghetti-eating contest, lakeside fireworks, and a parade packed with bands, politicians, and classic cars capped off four days of festivities in Watkins Glen, according to the Schuyler County Italian American Festival Committee.
The celebration wrapped Sunday at Clute Park with games, rides, and a cornhole tournament. Saturday’s parade starred a prince and princess, two grand marshals, and local emcee Chris Desrochers.
Now a summer tradition more than 40 years strong, the volunteer-run festival returned in full force after a one-year pause. Organizers say it continues to raise money for local causes — while keeping the doors open to everyone.
