Police in Ithaca are investigating a wave of thefts from parked cars, including incidents where suspects smashed windows to get inside.
The break-ins have happened across the city, especially in local parks and parking garages, according to a media release from the Ithaca Police Department.
Investigators haven’t named any suspects, but they’re urging residents to take precautions. Police say drivers should always lock their cars, avoid leaving valuables in plain sight, and take belongings with them when possible.
