Multiple fire departments rushed to the scene of a barn fire on Knight Road in Waterloo Saturda, bringing in crews and tankers from across Seneca and nearby counties to keep the flames from spreading.
The call came in around mid-afternoon, with fire companies from Waterloo, Seneca Falls, Romulus, Border City, Oaks Corners, Fayette, Varick, Junius, and Clyde responding.
North Seneca Ambulance was also dispatched as a precaution.
According to updates from Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire, the fire was brought under control after a coordinated effort from each department. All tankers were released once the fire was knocked down and overhaul operations—checking for lingering hotspots—were underway.
No injuries or damage estimates were immediately reported. The cause of the fire has not been announced.
