Deputies arrested a Canandaigua man Wednesday afternoon after a sex offender investigation led to a felony charge.
Burnette Gage, 36, was taken into custody at 12:45 p.m. at his home on Creekview Drive, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office. He’s accused of failing to report a change of address within the required ten-day period — a second offense that’s classified as a Class D felony.
Gage was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he was held for arraignment. He’s scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to face the charge.
The case was handled by the sheriff’s warrant unit.
