Nature lovers can grab a journal and explore the outdoors in Seneca Falls next Friday.
Seneca Meadows Inc., the Seneca Meadows Education Center, and the Montezuma Audubon Center are hosting a free “Summer Nature Journaling” event on Aug. 15. It starts at 2:30 p.m. at the Seneca Meadows Education Center in Waterloo, where participants will pick up materials before heading to the Seneca Meadows Wetland Preserve for a half-mile walk.
Attendees will receive a journal from Acorn Designs to keep. Organizers suggest bringing lawn chairs since there’s no seating at the preserve.
Registration is required, even though the event is free. Details and sign-up are available through the Audubon website.
