Gov. Kathy Hochul kept her Wayne County Fair visit light on politics Monday, but ramped up her messaging elsewhere in the state, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Her brief, low-profile stop in Palmyra included greeting fairgoers and 4-H members, while avoiding press and formal remarks. Later, Hochul sharply criticized the Republican-backed “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” warning it could strip healthcare from over 31,000 NY-24 residents and cut $241 million in services.
Republicans, including Rep. Claudia Tenney, defended the bill, accusing Hochul of misleading voters and failing her constituents.
