A Sodus man was arrested Sunday night following a domestic incident that allegedly involved physical contact in front of a child and interference with an emergency call.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested 27-year-old Thomas J. Babcock of Ridge Road in the Town of Sodus on August 3 at 8:00 p.m.
Babcock was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, harassment in the second degree, and endangering the welfare of a child under 17. Deputies allege he made unwanted physical contact with the victim in the presence of a minor and took a phone from the victim to prevent a 911 call.
Babcock was transported to the Wayne County Jail. He will appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
