Recent repairs by NYSEG brought temporary relief to Lodi’s long-standing low-voltage issues, according to the Finger Lakes Times. On July 21, the utility installed voltage regulators after Supervisor Lucas Latini filed a formal complaint and raised concerns at a public meeting.
Latini confirmed voltage levels rose to acceptable standards, but fluctuations returned days later, with readings dipping just above critical limits. He noted that more stress on the grid could push levels back into unsafe territory.
The state’s Public Service Commission recently flagged NYSEG for chronic infrastructure failures and penalized the company $3.5 million. Latini says he won’t withdraw his complaint until consistent results are proven.
