A 53-year-old woman from Cohocton was arrested late Saturday night after a traffic stop in the Village of Bath led to charges of drug-impaired driving and drug possession.
According to the Bath Police Department, an officer on patrol observed a vehicle committing several traffic violations on West Washington Street around 10:54 p.m. on July 27. The driver, identified as Bonnie J. Paige, was stopped and taken into custody following an investigation.
Paige is accused of operating the vehicle while under the influence of drugs, crossing the double yellow line multiple times, and being in possession of a controlled substance at the time of her arrest.
She faces the following charges:
- Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs (NYS VTL 1192(4))
- Driving Left of Pavement Markings (NYS VTL 1126 A)
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree (NYS PL 220.03)
Paige was processed at the police station and released with an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in Bath Village Court at a later date.
