A Saturday morning collision in Newfield sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries. According to first responders, Tompkins County deputies responded to the crash around 10:35 a.m. at Main Street and Elmira Road.
Investigators say a 2020 Honda CR-V failed to yield to a 2009 Ford Escape, causing the two-car crash. The Honda’s occupants were transported to Robert Packer Hospital, while the Ford driver declined further medical treatment.
The investigation is ongoing with assistance from New York State Police, fire crews, and ambulance teams.
