A Bath man is in custody after police say he drove with a suspended license and violated a court-issued stay-away order, according to the Village of Bath Police Department.
Officers stopped 37-year-old Chaney Seager on July 22 around 3:05 p.m. on West Steuben Street after recognizing him as a driver with a suspended license. During the traffic stop, police discovered a passenger in the vehicle who was the protected party in an order of protection against Seager.
Seager was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the 3rd Degree, an unclassified misdemeanor, and Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree, a class E felony due to a prior conviction. He was processed and transported to the Steuben County Jail, where he is being held without bail.
