Rollover crash shuts down quiet street in Seneca Falls

Two people were trapped in a vehicle Monday evening after a rollover crash in Seneca Falls that brought a major emergency response and a full road closure.

According to the Seneca Falls Fire Department, the crash occurred at 5:45 p.m. on Garden Street near Anthony Drive. Emergency crews arrived on scene within a minute of being dispatched, where they found two occupants trapped inside a rolled vehicle.

Command on scene requested fire police to shut down the roadway while additional units, including Engine 1401, arrived within three minutes. Firefighters deployed a handline, struts, and a spreader to extricate the individuals.

The occupants were freed and transferred to North Seneca Ambulance personnel for medical evaluation. The extent of their injuries was not released.

Tow services from Stevers Garage and Eagle responded to remove both vehicles involved. All units were cleared from the scene by 6:20 p.m.
