Dozens of students at Sodus Elementary School will step into summer with new sneakers, thanks to a donation from Reliant Credit Union.

The credit union delivered 72 pairs of high-quality shoes to the Sodus Central School District this week through its Feet Forward program, a community initiative launched in 2016.
“Feet Forward is about more than just new shoes—it’s about giving kids the confidence to move through life with pride,” said Pamela Heald, Reliant’s President & CEO. “We’re investing in their well-being and future success.”
Reliant once again partnered with Jonathan Griffiths of Rochester Running Company to supply the footwear. Since the program’s launch, the credit union has donated 2,588 pairs of sneakers—valued at over $78,000—to children across the region.
“We are deeply grateful for the incredible generosity shown to our students,” said Sodus Elementary social worker Debra Palmer. “It always warms my heart to see the smiles on our kids’ faces when they receive a new pair of shoes.”
