The region’s highest-achieving high school seniors were recognized Wednesday at the 18th annual Schuyler Scholars dinner in Watkins Glen, according to organizers. The event celebrated students ranking in the top 10% of their class from Watkins Glen, Odessa-Montour, and Bradford schools.
Each scholar received a framed certificate from their superintendent, with dignitaries and families in attendance. Guest speaker Ben Stamp, a Cornell-educated winemaker and WGHS alumnus, encouraged students to prioritize goals, seek mentors, and stay connected to their roots.
Valedictorians and salutatorians from all three schools were among those honored, with a total of 15 students recognized for academic excellence.
