Dance and dine to support Seneca Lake on July 23

Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association is inviting supporters to a high-energy evening of music, food, and fundraising at its annual Summer Soirée on Wednesday, July 23. The event will run from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel.

All proceeds from the event will support the nonprofit’s ongoing mission to protect and preserve the water quality of Seneca Lake.

Guests will enjoy local food and Finger Lakes wines, live performances by The Decades Band, and a hybrid auction with items available for in-person and mobile bidding. “This is your chance to connect with other lake lovers, dance the night away, and make a real impact on the future of Seneca Lake’s water quality,” the announcement said.

Tickets are now available and must be purchased in advance. The ticket price includes dinner, drinks, and access to the live entertainment and auction. Organizers are encouraging attendees to dress in “high summer” style—colorful, festive, and ready to dance.

The Decades Band is expected to deliver a dynamic setlist spanning hits from the 1950s through the 2000s. Attendees can also preview Decades Unplugged, the group’s acoustic set, for a more relaxed musical experience.

In addition to ticket sales, the association is still accepting auction items and event sponsors. “Do you have a local experience, service, or gift package to contribute? Help us make this year’s auction the biggest and best yet,” the message said.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals, families, and businesses. Sponsors will be recognized at the event and contribute directly to lake protection efforts.

The event is organized by the Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association, based in Geneva, NY. Donations and memberships fund the group’s programs to safeguard the lake’s health for future generations.
