The Sodus Point Village Board will meet for its regular monthly session on Thursday with a full agenda that includes updates on infrastructure projects and a step toward revising local rental regulations.
The meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will be held both in person and online via Zoom. The meeting link will be posted the day of the event.
Among the key items up for discussion is a proposal to schedule a public hearing regarding Chapter 151, which governs short-term rentals. This could signal future changes to how the village manages properties listed for short stays, such as those on Airbnb or VRBO.
The board will also review plans for connecting a new water main from the water plant on Lake Road to Margaretta Road. Additionally, officials will address progress on “CHIPS” roadwork funding related to Lake Road and are expected to vote on officially closing out the ongoing sewer capital project.
Other topics include updates on floating docks, revisions to the village handbook, and mulch needs. The Clerk Treasurer will present budget transfers and payment of bills, along with a report on savings interest from 2023 to 2025.
The board is also scheduled to discuss employee salaries under “Other Business” before adjourning.
The next regular Village Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 17 at 6:30 p.m.
