Adults in Auburn now have a shot at a tuition-free college degree, thanks to a new state initiative. Cayuga Community College is offering free associate degrees through the SUNY Reconnect program.
The program covers tuition, fees, books, and supplies for New York residents ages 25 to 55 pursuing their first degree. Over a third of CCC’s degree tracks — including nursing, education, and computer tech — are eligible. Students can attend part- or full-time, with enrollment open for fall.
SUNY Reconnect does not cover housing, food, or transportation costs.
