CONFIRMED: Social Security July 2025 Payment Schedule

Social Security July Payment Schedule

Social Security recipients should mark their calendars — July 2025 benefits are set to roll out soon, but the Independence Day holiday may affect when your check arrives.

Whether you receive retirement, SSDI, or SSI benefits, here’s what you need to know about the July 2025 Social Security payment schedule.

Who Gets Paid First in July?

As usual, payments will be distributed based on your birth date and the type of benefit you receive. The first group to receive checks are those who get Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

✅ SSI Payment Date:

  • Monday, July 1: All SSI recipients

Will July 4 Delay Your Social Security Payment?

Yes, for some beneficiaries. Since Friday, July 4 is a federal holiday, the Social Security Administration (SSA) will not process payments that day. If your payment would normally fall on that date, it will be sent one business day earlier.

SSA Holiday Adjustment:

  • July 4 (Friday): Independence Day — no payments processed
  • Thursday, July 3: Payments due on July 4 will be sent early
