A Vietnam veteran from Bristol has been inducted into the State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame, according to the Democrat and Chronicle. David Brisbane, a retired Marine Corps corporal, was honored for decades of military and community service.
Brisbane served in the Vietnam War and earned numerous military honors, including a Purple Heart. After the war, he spent 47 years as a machinist and became a champion for veterans through his work with the VFW, American Legion, and Marine Corps League.
He has led Toys for Tots, volunteered over 1,200 hours at the Canandaigua VA, and raised awareness about veteran suicide. Leaders say Brisbane embodies selfless service and remains a pillar of support for fellow veterans.
