Deputies and state troopers swiftly caught four juveniles suspected of breaking into a Village of Dresden business last week.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office said a citizen reported suspicious activity around 7:49 p.m. on June 13. Patrol units and the New York State Police converged and apprehended the youths at the scene.
The arrests follow a June 11 complaint of burglary and criminal mischief at the same business, filed under complaint number 2025-05666. Investigators believe the incidents are connected.
Authorities released the juveniles to their parents. Further action will proceed through the Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Aide Bureau.
